PAY RANGE

$45,000 – $50,000 annually, plus 1% override, plus $825 /month auto allowance (once travel
begins)

SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE

The Service Sales Representative is responsible for selling the full suite of CHUTES International service products — including preventive maintenance agreements, odor control units, replacement parts, and cans/compactors — while cultivating strong customer relationships
within CHUTES International direct service market. (DC, MD, VA) This role combines sales, customer service, and territory management to drive growth, support client needs, and uphold CHUTES values. The ideal candidate is proactive, personable, organized, and skilled at both relationship building and problem-solving.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & COMPETENCIES

  • Travel within assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers, build relationships, and solicit orders
  • Compile and maintain lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads
  • Attend trade shows, association events, training sessions, and committee meetings
  • Collaborate with Service Technicians to develop equipment and service solutions best suited for customer needs, including preventive maintenance to extend equipment life
  • Quote prices and terms, prepare sales orders, and collaborate with Contracts Administration as needed
  • Prepare and submit travel logs, business transaction reports, and related documentation
  • Enter new customer information and sales data into company software systems
  • Create and submit weekly sales reports
  • Develop and maintain relationships with purchasing contacts and key decision-makers
  • Collaborate with other sales representatives on training, product knowledge, and best practices
  • Investigate and resolve customer concerns or service issues
  • Complete special projects as assigned

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Knowledge of the local DMV region
  • Prior sales experience
  • Customer service and problem-solving experience
  • Experience with paperwork processing and documentation
