Odor Butler Vapor Station
The CI900 Odor Butler Vapor Station can be used as a stand-alone system as well as be expanded to operate remote vapor stations through your property. It operates at 24V of power and comes with a 115V UL-Certified transformer. Everything required to put the system into operation is included in the shipping box, including mounting brackets, fittings, and two discharge tubes – one metal and one poly-vapor.
Odor Butler Remote Station
The CI-900R Odor Butler Remote Station operates via a self-contained compressed air system, allowing it to run without power. This makes it ideal for applications where an electrical connection is not readily available, such as outdoor locations. It also boasts larger reservoirs with a 1.3 gallon capacity, useful for extended service periods or where high-volume output is needed.
Installation kits for the remote station are sold separately, and are required for installation. Single-station install kits are available as well as a two-pack of installation kits.
Odor Butler Vapor Solution
Odor Butler is a highly effective concentrated multi-component blend of natural odor neutralizing compounds designed specifically for use in waterless vapor delivery systems. These solutions do not contain water or surfactants and are not diluted with water prior to application. The concentrated blend of odor neutralizing compounds is blown as dry vapor into rooms, air handling systems or diffused through pipe with equally spaced holes where the vapor neutralizes odors in the air. Ideal for use in trash rooms, chutes and the exhaust from structures including greenhouses.
Marijuana Mitigator by Odor Butler
Our proprietary, oil-based blend contains specific molecules that bind to Prenylthiol, the radical sulfur atom which causes the skunky smell when marijuana is smoked. Due to the nature in which these molecules bind to the Prenylthiol, the smell of the marijuana smoke is actually neutralized, as opposed to some products, that merely try to cover up the smell.

How do substations work and why would I need one?
A Substation is utilized when the Odor Butler system requires increased solution reservoir capacity and/or expanded treatment-area coverage. The Substation functions as a remote dispensing unit and operates in conjunction with the primary Vapor Station, which provides the required electrical power and system programming.
The Vapor Station and Substation are interconnected by dedicated transport tubing that conveys the Odor Butler vapor solution from the primary system to the remote Substation for controlled dispersion into the air. A single Vapor Station can power and control up to two Substations, enabling expanded odor-treatment coverage in discharge rooms up to approximately 2,000 square feet, depending on application conditions.
The Substation incorporates a larger-capacity solution reservoir, increasing the available operating volume and extending the interval between required solution refills. This configuration reduces routine maintenance requirements and provides facility personnel with longer service intervals while maintaining continuous odor-control performance.
What scents are available?
For discharge rooms and other designated waste-management areas, Wintermint is the recommended scent. Based on internal product testing and real-world research, the Wintermint formula has proved to be the most effective in mitigating odors commonly associated with trash rooms and refuse-handling environments. The formula is specifically designed for applications where persistent waste odors are present.
For rooms, corridors, and other areas where cannabis smoke is present, the Marijuana Mitigator scent is specifically designed for odor-control applications involving cannabis-derived smoke. The formulation uses odor-neutralizing chemistry that interacts with and neutralizes odor-causing compounds in cannabis smoke, rather than simply masking the odor with fragrance.
How do I use the Odor Control App for the Mini Vapor Station?
The Mini Vapor Station supports Bluetooth connectivity and is configured via the Aroma-Link® mobile application. The app provides a user-friendly interface for system programming and operational control. Setup and operating instructions are supplied with each Mini Vapor Station.
The Aroma-Link app automatically identifies and connects to the nearest Mini Vapor Station via a secure Bluetooth connection. Through the app, authorized users can remotely enable or disable the unit, adjust operating parameters, and program customized time intervals for vapor output.
What is needed to install the Vapor Station or Mini Vapor Station?
The Vapor Station comes with a bracket and four bolts for mounting directly to the discharge room wall. The Vapor Station has a three-prong plug with a 10’ cord and requires a 24V outlet.
The Mini Vapor Station comes with a double-sided adhesive strip that sticks to any surface. The Mini Vapor Station requires four D batteries or, if preferred, a USB power cord compatible with any standard outlet.
How long will a gallon of solution last?
A gallon of Odor Butler solution will typically last three months if the Vapor Station / Mini Vapor Station utilizes the factory-programmed settings for vapor release.
How do I refill odor control system?
For all vapor release stations, the container holding the Odor Butler Solution is easily unscrewed or can pop out from the bottom. Once removed from the vapor station, carefully refill the open container using a funnel to minimize spillage.
My trash cans and dumpsters smell like trash, even when empty - what can I do?
We recommend regular cleaning of all trash receptacles with water and an approved cleaning agent. However, in between cleanings, Odor Butler Granules offer a topical solution for odor management
To use Odor Butler Granules, sprinkle 16oz or more (per use) into the trash can or dumpster when it is empty. If trash is present, sprinkle the granules around and on top of it. The granules feed on the bacteria present in trash and its odors, releasing a wintergreen-like fragrance that fully mitigates the odor.
Each time a can or dumpster is emptied, add another 16oz of granules. Additionally, granules can be used on the ground of any trash area/discharge room.
Can I put granules in the compactor?
The recommended application of the granules is for use in trash cans, dumpsters, collection bins, and/or directly on the floor surface within the discharge room. The compaction container attached to the compactor is particularly well suited for granule application compared with application directly within the compactor.
Are granules pet safe?
Granules are pet safe and non-hazardous.
Do granules disintegrate?
Yes. As granules come into contact with falling trash or footsteps, they completely disintegrate. Due to the granules’ composition, they do not clog drains or create a slippery surface.
What is the difference between the Disinfecting and Sanitizing Unit (D&S) and a professional chute cleaning?
The D&S unit is a weekly application for the trash chute that mixes the Clean Butler cleaning solution with the water from the building. The water and Clean Butler solution mixture uses the flushing spray head located within the chute to cover the inside of the chute completely, from top to bottom. The cleaning and disinfecting mixture then exits the chute to the floor below, or into the hopper of the compactor.
A professional chute cleaning uses high-pressure water and a circular brush to provide the chute with a deep clean. This type of chute cleaning is recommended on an annual or bi-annual basis.
Using the D&S System regularly ensures the trash chute remains clean between professional chute cleanings.
What products are safe to clean the chute?
While the D&S system is compatible with other water-based cleaners, our Clean Butler chute cleaner does not destroy the protective, aluminized layer of our chutes, which can cause discoloration, pitting, or rust. Additionally, certain cleaners can leave a sticky film on the discharge room/trash room floors and strip the finish.
Use of other cleaners, depending on their chemical makeup, can damage the materials they come into contact with.
