Summary/Objective

Analyzes take-off forms, blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare estimates for products, projects, or services.

Essential Functions

  1. Review architectural specifications & drawings
  2. Perform construction takeoffs from specifications & drawings
  3. Generate estimates from various sources of take offs: Dealer/Distributors,
    outside sales reps, ITB (invitations to bid)and construction plan sites
  4. Prepare shipping/freight quotes
  5. Submit bids and quotes in a timely manner to appropriate parties
  6. Handling submittals and shop drawings
  7. Document all work and customer contact in company CRM system
  8. Complete special projects as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibility/Direct Reports

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will spend extended periods of time sitting at a desk, using a computer. Employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk and use hands and fine motor skills to handle small items; and reach with hands and arms.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee must be available during the “core” work hours of 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and must be able to work 38 hours each week to maintain full-time status. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand (highly unlikely).

Travel

No travel is expected for this position, except for occasional training opportunities and/or trade shows.

Required Education and Experience

  1. Training or experience in computer applications.

Preferred Education, Experience and Skills

  1. Bilingual (Spanish)
  2. Prior experience supporting a dealer/distributor network.
  3. CAD or BIM Experience.
  4. Degree in Engineering or Architecture.
